Air pollution, largely produced by transport, represents a significant environmental health risk. So much so that 4.2 million of premature deaths are related to this fact, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
However, health is not the only aspect that is affected by this motive; also the economy. And it is that pollution costs each Spanish citizen an average of 1,000 euros per year, as was reflected in the latest report from the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA). These data shows the need to bet on sustainable transport alternatives that contribute to increasing the quality of life in the cities.
The outbreak of the pandemic is accelerating the change of urban transport towards clean technologies with the aim of improving the quality of life in urban centers and, as a important point to highlight, BeGas is one of the companies that is helping institutions and municipalities to get this process.
This technology-based and research-oriented company is at the moment, the world’s only producer of engines powered 100% by AutoGas (liquefied gas) with European Euro VI D approval, which helps to reduce polluting emissions from road transport drastically.

The advantages of the AutoGas engine
The BeGas AVG gas engine has the Euro VI Step D approval, the most advanced in the EU for combustion equipment licences. In fact, it reduces the emission standards required by the regulations by 51% for CO levels, 22% for PN levels, 57% for Nox levels, 29% for PM10 and 87% for HC levels.
These figures allow all the engines manufactured by BeGas to obtain the ECO environmental label from the DGT, offering a unique solution to the market that mix technological innovation in emission control with the use of clean fuel.

Another big benefit of its good adaptation in heavy industrial vehicles is its size. The BeGas AVG enginenes are much more compact than conventional ones, which, added to the propulsion by this alternative fuel in liquid phase, increases the performance of the engine.
In addition, the LGI liquid injection system provides absolute control of the fuel from the tank to the tip of the injector, obtaining low fuel consumption and a perfect oxygen / gas mixture inside the cylinder. By injecting the gas in the liquid phase, the temperature in the combustion chamber is reduced and contributes to the reduction of the emissions of polluting gases. In fact, the CO2 emissions of these engines are 15% below tan most of the others advanced equivalent diesel engines.
